About Us
The Rotary Club of Cinco Ranch is a local service organization founded in May 2002 (aka The Rotary Club of Katy Sunrise). Rotary is a global network of 1.2 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.Our club has been selected Best Small Club in Rotary District 5890 twice.
The idea for a breakfast club in Katy originated with Tom Juarez. Tom was a member of the Katy Rotary Club which meets at noon. He recognized the need for a breakfast club in our area. The Heights Rotary Club agreed to sponsor us and an initial meeting was held in March 2002.
A club must have 20 members before it can be chartered, and on May 24, 2002, the Rotary Club of Katy Sunrise was officially chartered.
